1. Gerard Depardieu

In 2008, the French actor was caught short when a CityJet flight from Paris to Dublin was delayed and the toilets were declared off-limits to passengers. Unable to wait, he attempted to urinate in a water bottle. Apparently, his aim was not true and he ended up peeing on the carpet. The plane was further delayed while the carpet was cleaned – and Depardieu had to find a different way to Dublin.

Supermodel Naomi was none-too-pleased in 2008 when a British Airways flight attendant told her that one of her bags had gone missing. According to witnesses, she started hurling abuse at the cabin crew, and kicking and spitting at police officers who came on board. Campbell pleaded guilty to assault, and was fined £2,300 pounds and given 200 hours of community service.

The Oasis frontman is alleged to have taken umbrage at the shape of a scone served to him on a Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong in 1998. So much so that he is said to have threatened the captain with it, according to urban legend. Cathay Pacific seemingly take great pride in their baking, because Gallagher was later banned from flying with the airline.

4. Alec Baldwin

The best-known of the Baldwins was asked to leave an American Airlines flight in 2011, after apparently refusing to stop playing Words With Friends on his phone after passengers were requested to turn off electronic devices before takeoff. It was good news for the app’s developer though: after the incident, Words With Friends picked up another 100,000 new users in just one day.

5. Billy Joe Armstrong

The Green Day singer was supposedly asked to leave a Southwest Airlines flight after refusing to pull up his trousers which cabin crew felt were 'slung too low'. If they’d escorted him to his seat and made him sit down, would anyone have noticed?

6. Martin Lawrence

Agreeing to star in Bay Boys II, it would seem, was not the only dodgy decision Martin Lawrence has made. In 1997 he apparently tried to board a flight to Phoenix carrying a fully-loaded Beretta handgun.

7. Courtney Love

When in comes to in-flight disturbance, singer Courtney Love has quite the rap sheet. She was first arrested in 1995 after aggressive behaviour on a Qantas flight, then arrested at Heathrow in 2003 after she was verbally abusive during a flight, and then got into trouble for a smoking incident in 2008. If you spot her in the queue in front of you, you would be well-advised to catch the next flight.
